It is difficult for me to complete this project evaluation as I was not included in all aspects of the group project. I reflect on this further in the group evaluation.   At the beginning of term, when we were given the task, I worked with the original group on developing our idea. Then when the groups were rearranged, I joint another group who already had agreed on an idea and I had no opportunity to influence this and none of my original research was relevant. I feel that transition could have been handled better to give all students the same chance. From day 1 of the project, I was not involved in team discussions and was not really allocated any tasks so it is hard for me to reflect on my role in the project and what worked/ didn’t work. Due to my absence at an early stage in planning I wasn’t evolved in the early stages of planning however I had to plan by doing a risk assessment for the day I independently went and shot on Maidstone high street establishing shots of an vape shop. My own research for this project has shown that the language used when depicting vaping in teens is direct and aims to shock the audience. I think we have achieved this because our news package share statistics and a comment from a health professional which should back up the statistics. Due to my sickness during this unit I actually wasn’t in for any of the workshops. However on one occasion I did get to use the green screen room which I hadn’t done previously this helped me learn how to shoot in front of a green screen and how we could use it for own shoot. This experience I got was relevant to being able to shoot a virtual news location and has been valuable in the progression of the project. 

This news package explores the risks to young people when vaping and how a health professional understands that they are marketed to kids. He also is aware of there clear risk to young people’s lives if the government doesn’t act appropriately regarding the vapes advertising, price and laws regarding the selling and adverting of these products. We would wish to speak to a health professional to really hear how it's impacting young people and how they think the youth could impact if the government don't act quickly. But also to really gather the opinion from both sides if possible interviewing a younger person is a possibility I feel it would really show there attitude and thoughts regrading vaping however if not possible we could potential get a statement from them.
